Memorial Day

I am the most patriotic person in my generation. There's no comparison anywhere! I don't know how it happened. Here are a few ways it could have happened: 1. Learning to sing, "It's a Grand Ole Flag" in the 3rd grade. Mrs. Hone made us learn it. And I loved it. I still sing it with gusto. 2. Touring the USS Saratoga when I was a child. My Daddy's boss's husband was stationed to the mighty ship and gave us a tour when I was about 8. I remember many things about that sunny Florida Day. 3. Hearing my great-Grandma Conner talk about her son, Donald, who served in the Vietnam War. He came home and just wasn't the same. He was killed in a car accident not long after returning to American soil but Grandma always said that the War killed him. 4. Playing "The Star-Spangled Banner " on my Tenor Saxophone in high school. At every football game for four years. I would get a little teary every time. It never got old. It is a secret desire of mine to be

Jesus Saves LIVE

I am oh-so-excited about a CD that will be released on June 2. I have loved Travis Cottrell's worship style since I first heard him over 10 years ago. Every time he has been near to me, I have traveled to hear him lead worship. If you have not ever seen him live, trust me: you have missed out!! He has a new CD being released on June 2. I will be at the store to purchase it first thing that morning. You can count on it. You all should check it out!! http://traviscottrell.com

Cuttin' a Rug!!

Last Friday night, Luke's school hosted its first ever Sock Hop. He wanted to go really bad. We didn't know what to expect, but we went. He was so happy. Here are a few pictures from the evening. Needless to say, it was a very fun evening.

AWANA Awards

Image
We have finished our AWANA year!! The little Fullers worked hard and finished their books!!! A few Sunday nights ago, we had our Awards Night. I was telling everyone about my beloved Sparks and Skipperland Park! Sarah Belle is in Puggles and she doesn't have to learn verses from week to week. But, she does learn Bible Stories. She tells me all about it when we get home. Anna Brooke is in Cubbies and she learned 32 verses!!! She said the last one just a few minutes before the Awards Night began, but she finished. She was motivated by seeing what her Award would be. Luke is in Sparks and he learned A LOT of verses. Including the books of the New Testament. Also John 1:1-4. I wanted to crop myself out of this photo, but I resisted. We are very proud of our little ones for learning so young to hide God's Word in their hearts.

I'm Really Sorry...

...that I haven't posted in awhile. It's been really crazy around FullerTown lately. And, I feel as if I have to post a picture every time. And, it's kind of a little more difficult to post pictures. So, I will get over it and post anyway. Here are a few pictures to let you know what's been going on around here lately. We went to a rodeo about 3 weeks ago While there, my big girl actually climbed on the fence of the rodeo ring!! She is quite timid about such things so I was shocked to see her doing this. The girl standing with her is K, one of my girl's favorite people in the whole world. We went to a Walk for Life for our local Crisis Pregnacy Center. They had a bounce House, clown, baloon artist, and all kinds of fun things for the children. Luke and Anna Brooke rode their bikes along the mile-long walk. Thank you for sponsoring our family and for supporting this ministry. We had a good time. And Luke's birthday!! Let's just say that it was lot

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I have tried many times to sit and write an eloquent blog entry about Motherhood. The problem is that I'm not eloquent. Nor do I have a lot of words. So, here I am on Sunday morning writing about Moms. I am the only one awake here in FullerTown at this hour on a Sunday morning. There are actually many ladies who have helped to shape and mold me into the lady I am today. My Mama is one. Of course, I lived at her house and learned from her, A LOT. I remember one tme she was making a pie crust. I was watching her and commented on how hard it was. And she said, "Yes, it is hard, but it is better than buying one. Aren't you going to do this for your family one day?" And I said, "NO, I will just buy the pie crust!" And I do. When I make a pie. Which is rare. Thank you, Mama, for all you have taught me through the years. May the Lord's face shine on you today.

Her Hair is Oh So Beautiful

Image
Amy Grant has the most beautiful hair! I try to achieve her hair every Sunday. Except that I do not use any hair products besides some good ole Shampoo & Conditioner. Yep. That's it. My toddler girls have more products in thier hair on The Lord's Day than I do in a month's time. Anyway, My BFF Amy Grant has a new CD. You should listen here . I think I will be purchasing this little gem.

Laura's Famous Meatloaf

Image
One day early in our marriage, I wanted meatloaf for dinner. Now, you must know that up until this point in my oh-so-young life I had not ever had meatloaf that I was crazy about. I didn't want to stop at the store on the way home from work and I didn't have much on hand. I searched the internet for recipes to no avail. So, I printed the recipe that I thought I could work with. I made meatloaf for dinner that night and my new husband loved it. Over the years I have enhanced and changed it until it's perfect. Do you want some? OK - I'll share the recipe. Here's what you'll need: First, heat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan or other dish. Then, sprinkle about 1/3 cup of brown sugar into the pan. In a large bowl, put in 2 pounds of ground meat. I have used a combination of beef, pork and turkey. This time, I used 2 pounds of Ground Chuck. I prefer to use a leaner beef so there is not so much grease to drain at the end. My grocer did not have a very good

Exactly How I Feel

One of my friends from our Seminary days has four children like me. Except that she has adopted twins and a child very close to their age. So, she does have more stress about toddler things than I do. Anyway, she has written the funniest blog post. It has made my morning. You can read it here . Have a good day!!! UPDATE: My friend who wrote this is not as I described above. But, I do love my friend, L, with four children. You can read her blog here . The real friend who wrote it is a friend who lived across the hall from me in the dorm during college. She is a funny girl who is also really sweet. I do love her even though she recently posted an embarrasing photo of me on Facebook. K has two cute little girls and works full time. She also has a stressful life! Please click to her blog and read her feelings about being a mother. It is exactly how I feel.

Happy Birthday, Luke-Man!!!

Image
Today is the birthday of my firstborn, Luke Wilson Fuller. As of 10:05 tonight, he will be six years old. I learned within the first five minutes of his life that I was in for an adventure. The first thing the Doctor said when he was first born was, "This is a heavy baby." And he was. Ten pounds and one ounce of pure joy. The nurse said that she wanted someone else to come and "listen to him." I remember a crowd of medical professionals rushing into the delivery room to "listen" to my baby. They, the medical professionals, told us the next morning that they thought our baby had pneumonia. He proved in a very short time that he did not. This experience taught me a lot about being appreciative for a healthy baby. We had to watch him in the NICU with wires and oxygen tubes only to find out that he was OK. Luke was released from the NICU a few short hours before I was discharged from the hospital. He grew so fast!! He still does. At his two-week
