It's been awhile

I lost count as to how long it's been since there was some fresh news from FullerTown. You must know that we've had some major computer issues over the past year. It's a wonder we've survived, but we're still alive and kickin'. (And, by major computer issues I mean the power chord BROKE OFF while still in the computer!! And, of course the warranty is expired.) I will share something funny that Patrick said today. He doesn't usually say funny things, but when he does: it's really funny. I was at the table helping Luke with his first-grade homework. (Which, by the way, is what I remember in about the third grade!) Patrick said out of the blue, "I think I would rather be changing diapers than helping with homework!" I nearly fell off of my stool! People who have older children have often shared that parenting doesn't get any easier, it gets different. I have often understood it to mean we won't be walking the floor at night with a

A Father's Love

I typically sit on the front row at my church. Yesterday was no different. My pastor-husband is preaching a series on the Ten Commandments. We are working from the 10 th to the 1st. Yesterday was the 9 th commandment. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor . When the invitation was given one of our youth came to the altar to pray. Then this young person's father came, wrapped his arms around the small frame there beside him and prayed over his child. I had tears in my eyes. It was the most beautiful picture I have ever seen of how The Son loves us and cares for us. And, cries out for us to His Father. May we never forget that He is there, interceding for us.

Anna Brooke recently started a basic tumbling class. To say that she is excited is an understatement. When asked what she would like to be when she grows up, she will say, "a Cheerleader!" (I must apologize for the quality of these pictures. I was in the parents' viewing area really far away.) She is ecstatic about going to tumbling. When we come home from Preschool on the appointed day, she says, "Is it time to put on my tumbling clothes yet?" She enjoys it so much that she is going to begin practicing with a competitive team this week. She will go to competitions several times this year. She is thrilled. She is sometimes distracted by the older teams practicing, which is to be expected. She is loving it!
