He Did It!

Our Baby Paul has been crawling for nearly a month now. He is getting really brave. Last week, he crawled halfway up the stairs and fell asleep: Then, yesterday, he crawled all the way to the top by himself!!! Way to go, Paul!

I've Always Wanted To...

Ride a Motorcycle!!! This is so funny! On Sunday n ight we had a man & his wife visit our church. As we were leaving, we noticed that this couple was in the parking lot talking to another couple. Well, the visiting couple were driving a canary yellow Harley-Davidson motorcycle! I have always thought it would be fun to ride on one but have never had the opportunity. I asked if he would drive me around the church building and he said, "No. Only my wife rides in the back seat of my motorcycle ." I was reluctant but accepted his answer. His wife chimes right up and says that he can give me a ride; she doesn't mind. I jumped right out of the Suburban with delight. I put the helmet on and hopped up into the backseat. I was wearing a skirt & heels so I had to tuck my skirt under my legs so it wouldn't fly up! This nice gentleman rode me all the way around the church. Those who were still in the parking lot were looking so funny at us because they could...

She Did it Herself

It has happened again. Just as my sweet, passive-aggressive Anna Brooke's hair was growing out so beautifully, everyone hold your breath --- she cut, shall I say butchered her hair!!!!!! Yes, on Monday a package from Granny (my Mom) arrived at the door. Everyone was so excited to see what Granny's sewing machine has created. The red-handled scissors were accidentally left lying on the table. About one hour passes. Everyone is parading around in their new duds. Anna Brooke appears from the Living Room with a new hairdo! My stomach sinks to my knees. You know, the scissors that won't cut hot butter? Those scissors do cut hair!!! She is grinning from ear to ear, so proud of herself. She thinks it's pretty. So, I call the hairstylist at home on Monday night and beg her to come in early on Tuesday. She fixed it. She had to cut off all of Anna Brooke's beautiful hair. The reason I have not written about it until now is that I can just now look at her without a tear com...

Child's Play

For many days now, since Tuesday morning, our Family Room has been transformed into a tent or fort, of sorts. Luke has been wanting to make a "big, huge tent" and I finally helped him. Well, this is no ordinary tent! It consists of: one queen size flat sheet, one full size comforter, one full size quilt, one throw blanket, one jumperoo, one cardboard box for the back door, one floor lamp, one vanity stool, one kitchen chair, and a Thomas tent. It comes fully equipped with front & back entrances, very nice outside kitchen, two-car garage, puppy-sized bathtub, two bedrooms and a family room. The other necessary amenities are only a few feet away. The forest with fire pit is also very close by.

Daddy is in the Paper!

Some of you know that our church was host to 7 other churches during VBS this year. It was an amazing week for us. The Baptist state newspaper picked up the story and visited one night. The story is in the current issue of The Biblical Recorder . Read here http://www.biblicalrecorder.com/post/Eight-churches-learn-unique-lesson-through-VBS.aspx

Welcome to FullerTown! (Pop. 6)

Well, we have arrived! Welcome to our world here in FullerTown! It is a small, but very happening town! There is always lots to do, many attractions to experience and never a dull moment! FullerTown is also the headquarters of Glory to God Ministries. Anytime we are in distress we will shout, "Glory to God!" If Daddy is calling at an especially difficult time I will answer, "Glory to God Ministries!" We never want to be guilty of not giving glory to Him who has so richly blessed FullerTown! We have finally recovered from a mission trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. We were there for a week helping Living Hope Community Church hold a Kid's Camp (aka Vacation Bible School). It was very exciting to have 28 travel from Southside to Halifax. There were about 40 children present each night which was huge for Canada! Best of all, seven little children asked Jesus into their hearts!!! I have some pictures to share from the last week since we've been home that I w...
