In My Shoes...

Image
This past weekend the girls found my bin of shoes that I don't wear that often. You know, all the colored ones? Some of these shoes do not fit due to gaining a few pounds during 4 pregnancies. The girls had fun walking around FullerTown wearing Mommy's shoes. I've never really considered myslf to be a "shoe person." But, I guess the simple fact that I have about a dozen pair of shoes that I only wear maybe once every couple years makes me guilty! Guess which pair of legs belongs to which girl!! The shoe styles will help!

Snuggle Time

Image
Every night after bathtime, we have snuggle time. All the little Fullers watch a Cedarmont Kids Songs video while sitting in Daddy & Mommy's lap. When the video is over, they all go to bed. I captured a sweet photo of Sarah Belle & Paul snuggling. Yes, my baby still drinks a bottle every night. Then Saturday afternoon, this: They are all so cute!

Big Boy

On Sunday nights, we enjoy going to AWANA. Our children are learning their verses quite nicely. At the end, we have the closing ceremony. During this time we say our pledges to the the Bible, American Flag and AWANA flag. This past Sunday night, Luke was chosen to hold the AWANA flag. He was so proud. Notice two things about this picture: 1) Luke's Duke watch. He wears it every day. He is so happy to be a Duke fan! 2) The oversized sunglasses around his neck. He earned a trip to the Treasure Chest Sunday morning during Kids' Time (Children's Church). He answered a question corectly to earn them. Luke is growing and maturing at record speeds since starting Kindergarten. We are very proud of him and are excited about what we know the Lord is going to do with his life.

Brotherly Love

Image
It is amazing how much Luke loves 'his Paul.' We are blessed that no matter how our little ones are paired up, they get along so great. We have spending a lot of time outside on the patio these past few days. I captured this moment between Luke and Paul that I thought was very cute. Luke lets Paul climb all over him, hit him, and do pretty much whatever Paul wants to do to him.

Friday Afternoon Fun!!

Image
We went on Friday to Triad Park. The children LOVE Triad Park. It is a huge park with several playground areas and picnic areas. It is usually packed on the weekends! And the weekdays. Since it was pretty weather and we promised, we went. And we were the only ones there! It was a little windy, and chilly. I nearly froze. I have just gotten over being cold. (I am not kidding. I have been cold since Friday afternoon, and just Tuesday night got warm when I wore two pair of PJ's to bed with one extra cover folded in half on my side of the bed. I am NOT kidding.) Anyway the little Fullers enjoyed swinging and the slides the best. This is a swing that enables children with handicaps to enjoy swinging! Do you like his haircut?? Sarah Belle likes hanging on the bar above the slide. She is practicing her gymnastics moves. Luke & Anna Brooke like hanging on the monkey bars. Yes, my girl is wearing pink leopard pants with a short sleeve shirt on this cold day! She does not like long slee

Do you like it?

How do you like the new look of FullerTown? Is it hard to read? Do I need to change the colors? Let me know what you think!!

Finally!!...

Image
...news from FullerTown. I am deeply sorry for teasing you to think that since I had learned how to schedule posts that you would get a new post every day. I am sorry. There is no need to explain further. On Thursday, the little Fullers all got a haircut. Luke was first, then Paul. This is the only picture of him. He sat in the chair really good until the clippers turned off. Then he was unhappy so I had to hold, or wrestle him to get it finished. He is really cute now. He looks like he is 3 years old! The girls waited in the dryer chairs so patiently and waited their turn. Of course, it helped that Mrs. N gave them a hairbrush to occupy them. And I brought paper and crayons! They are both so prissy!

How We Really Feel...

Early last week, Beth Moore asked Minister's wives to answer one question: As a Minister's wife, we thought you would like to know... She asked to make the comments anonymous and about things that most would not think were very obvious. During the Living Proof Live! She showed some of the comments in a video. I thought I would share them. I must say that as both a Minister's wife and a Minister's daughter, I have felt most of these at some time or another. There are some that I have never felt or had to deal with. (And no, the comment I shared was not included.) There are three videos, and you should watch all three. You can imagine that there were times of laughter and some tears as all 1200 of us Minister's Wives viewed these videos together. The Life of a Ministers Wife - part 1 from stephen proctor on Vimeo . This is a Test

This post is a test. I have been trying to figure out how to schedule a post. Sometimes there is enough happening here in FullerTown to make 3 posts. Somedays, there is nothing for 4 days. It would be helpful to be able to write the posts and schedule them to post in the future. So, this is a test... It is really Tuesday at 10:21 p.m. I am scheduling this post to come up at 6:00 am on Wednesday. We'll see if it works... So, this is a test... Postscript: WOO-HOO!!! YAY! YAY! YAY! It worked. Now, maybe you'll get a peek inside FullelrTown more often! (Over and out at 8:27 am)

Living Proof Live - Nashville

This is a compilation of photos taken at the Living Proof Live event for Minister's Wives this past weekend. I am not actually in any of the photos but my spirit is there. I love the song, 2000 years that Travis sang on Friday evening. I hope you enjoy! LPL Minsters' Wives Nashville TN from Rich Kalonick on Vimeo .

Before He Speaks

This video was shared at the Minister's Wives Event this past weekend. I would like to share it with you. I am blessed because my Pastor husband does not share about my disasters in the kitchen, or anything else that would humiliate me. I am thankful.

Cooking Class #1: Gravy

Image
A while back I asked you if you would like for me to do a tutorial of sorts from time to time and share some of my favorite recipes. Well, after much preparation, here is the first recipe. Every Southern wife needs to know how to make gravy, and especially on a Sunday. I remember standing at my Mom’s black Tappan stove and watching her stir the grease, flour and such to make this wonderful Southern sauce. According to Sarah Belle, this is how you do it: Use a pot that has been soaking overnight and is half full of murky water. Then, dump about 2 cups of plain flour into the pot. In order to reduce the lumps caused by quick greeting between the flour and water, use the pasta server to stir them out!! Last, but not least, enlist the help of someone else to clean up your mess!

A Fabulous Friday

Image
This Friday has truly been fabulous!! First was the second half of Between Us Minister's Wives . It was wonderful. I learned a lot. There was a session just for Senior Pastor's wives. I gleaned a lot during the dialogue time. I have met this sweet circle of Minister's wives from north Georgia who have taken me in and befriended me. Then I had to go to the mall because I did not pack anything to wear tomorrow. And, no, I didn't do it on purpose. I would have much rather gone back to my room and taken a nap. You should know that I been a 'fan' of Beth Moore as well as Travis Cottrell for many, many years. I have enjoyed the times I have been allowed the opportunity to worship with them. They both are the real thing. They both have been gifted by God to do amazing things for His glory. I have laughed with them. I have shed tears over how great my God is in their presence . (They really don't know me on a first-name basis. Although I wish they did.) Tonight was

Where Am I?

Image
Several years ago, I had the privilege of attending a confrenc especially for pastor's Wives. And, three long years later, here I am again!!!! So, here I am, awake at 4:50 in the morning. Although, it's really 3:50 in the morning here in the Central Time Zone. Considering that I have to be up, dressed, and across the street at 8:15 later this morning: I should be asleep!! Because you all should know that I need all the beauty sleep I can get. I wanted to share some photos of my hotel room with you. This is the bed. I like how the posh pillows are arranged. Do you think this will look good on my bed back home? This is the TV cabinet. I was thinking that I sure wish I had a small refrigerator to keep my precious Diet Coke cold. Also, there are 2 bottles of complimentary water that I would rather enjoy while chilled. So, I opened the 'door' and thank you Jesus! (The safe above the fridge will go unused during my stay here.) So, now I can drink 'cold drinks.' I s

Funny Sayings, Part 3

Image
Here is installment #3 of Luke's Funny Quotes. I have tried to find it on YouTube, and I did find the movie trailer which shows the scene just before the famous quote. Click here to watch it. Pay close attention to the 'grocery store scene' at the beginning of the trailer. This is within the first 15 minutes of the movie. The 'stray' dog gets into the grocery store and wreaks havoc on the produce section. (Luke must have a heart for stray dogs.) He jumps up on the manager and knocks him over. Then, the dog begins to lick the manager in the face. Yuck, Yuk, YUK. Opal claims the dog and suddenly names him Winn-Dixie! The spastic dog comes and calmly stands right beside Opal like they have been friends for years. The manager looks up at the crowd and says: "THAT DOG ALMOST ATE MY FACE OFF!!!!!" Luke cracks up laughing every time.

Funny Sayings, Part 2

Image
OK, I am sorry this comes so late in the day. We have been outside playing ALL DAY. The second quote that sends my firstborn into hysterical laughter is from this movie: (We went through a time when we watched this movie no less than twice a day.) I will assume that you all know the story line. The "stray" dog shows up and Travis (the older brother) and especially Arlis (the younger brother) eventually really love the dog. They name him Old Yeller . One day, Mr Sanderson comes calling to claim his dog. After a polite conversation Mr. Sanderson begins to ride away with Old Yeller tied to his horse. This is too much for little Arlis . He throws rocks at Mr. Sanderson, whose horse bucks him off. Arlis ' mother scolds him and he says: "I'll bust him with another is he takes my dog off!!!" Well, Mr. Sanderson agrees to leave Old Yeller with Arlis if he will trade him the "mighty fine horned toad" in his pocket and a home-cooked meal. At this point

Funny Sayings, part 1

Luke has gotten into this 'funny' stage. He thinks the quirkiest things are hysterical. There are 3 things in particular that totally crack him up. I will share these 3 days in a row. (That is, if the creek doesn't rise and keep me from the computer.) The first is: "Ahem," said the man. Let me explain. Luke brought home a book from school that he could keep. I'm really not sure where it came from but it was in a little pouch attached to a handmade bear. He doesn't care for the bear but he thinks the book is hilarious. It is entitled, Toby and Tess . All in all, the book is about sorting. At the end, Toby & Tess go with their Father to the garbage drop-off place. The Father put a water bottle in the yard waste container. Since the car's engine was running, the Father couldn't hear Toby & Tess trying to tell him he put the water bottle in the wrong container. Finally, an attendant comes over. "Ahem," said the man. And

Who is He?

Yesterday, we had an interesting discussion here in FullerTown. We were getting ready to go to church and Anna Brooke asked a question. "Who is Daddy?" "What do you mean, honey? He is your Daddy, my husband." Then she said, "Is he your brother?" After I got myself together, I said, "NO, Mommy doesn't have a brother. Daddy is Mommy's husband. We are married. We are not brother and sister." She got distracted and left the room. I think she will still have more questions about this later. I thought it was too funny that she thought Patrick was my brother . She doesn't realize how gross that would be. (You should know that I have typed this post one-handed, while sitting in the dark with a 2-year-old asleep in my lap.) (She was hungry and wanted to come downstairs.) Now, we must get ready for Preschool.

For the Record

For those of you readers who do not know my husband is the pastor of a growing, regional church in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina. We have been joyfully serving this church for a little more than 2 years and have loved every day! Well, a few weeks ago, there were several visitors all clustered together in the middle section. We knew who these guests were: the brother of a member, a new beau, etc... It just so happens that all these people were sitting in the same general area. Case in point: several members have asked Patrick since then (about 2 weeks) if it was a Pastor Search Committee !! His answer of course, has been, "No." Then he proceeds to tell the inquirer who all those people were. Now, you can just imagine how the rumors have been flying these couple of weeks. We personally think it is hilarious!! Two things you must understand from the Pastor's point of view: 1.) It is not very nice of a search committee to show up unannounced. 2.) It is not polite

Snow Day

Image
It snowed in FullerTown last night! This was the scene around here last night. Patrick always puts bowls out to catch the snow so he can make snow creme. (For those of you wondering, yes, he is wearing pajama pants!) This is the view from the back door while the snow came down! The little Fullers were all very excited: And this morning: Paul even took a little walk onto the patio this morning. We went into the front yard to build a snowman: He has pieces of hamburger steak for eyes and a carrot for a nose. He doesn't have a mouth. Hope he doesn't get hungry... I walked the girls to the corner on the sled. Luke tried to use the disc sled as a snowboard. He is a wild man in the snow. Anna Brooke did not want to wear a coat so that everyone could see her scarf and boots. Daddy resorted to the sandcasle technique to build a snowman. Zoya was pulling Anna Brooke on the sled. She slid off of the sidewalk and strattled the neighbors mailbox! The children got into the back of Daddy'
