Christmas Silliness

Image
You can imagine the amount of silly going on here in FullerTown. I thought I would share the fun.

Christmas Parties!!

Image
My day started yesterday going to Luke's Christmas Party. His class had brunch and then decorated gingerbread houses. This was really fun for Luke. Then Anna Brooke's class had a pizza party and made snowmen out of marshmallows, pretzels, and fruit roll-ups. They also had a gift exchange. She had a lot of fun. Then, last night the Starlights had thier Christmas party. They played in the gym with beach balls, jump ropes and hula hoops. They got to jump on the trampoline for an extra long time which was a blast. Then they went into the party room and made reindeer out of cookies, frosting, a Nilla wafer, a red skittle and some pretzels. They also had pizza for dinner and some Christmas cupcakes. All in all, it was a very fun day!

Billy Graham Library

Image
On Friday, we had the most awesome Family Day. We left Greensboro about noon and headed south. We wanted to visit the Billy Graham Library . I have wanted to visit at Christmastime just because I love Christmas decorations. It did not disappoint! We arrived about 3 pm and went inside for the Journey of Faith. This is what they call the tour all around the facility. The Journey begins with Bessie the cow: The funniest thing she says is, "Billy Frank's hands sure were cold at 5:30 in the morning." During the Christmas Season, there is a live nativity complete with a camel, llama, several sheep and goats and some black animals that I couldn't identify! Then there were carriage rides with hot chocolate and cider. That was a lot of fun! This was a top ten day for our family!

Christmas Snow

Image
This past weekend there was snow in FullerTown!! The weather man said it was supposed to be just a few flurries. Well, it started as flurries. Then, got heavier and more and more! We had about 2-3 inches of snow here in our neighborhood. The little Fullers were so very excited. The boys didn't stay still long enough for me to take a picture of them playing! Most of the snow was melted by mid afternoon Sunday. It sure was pretty while it lasted!

Happy Birthday, Anna Brooke

Image
Yesterday, was Anna Brooke's birthday. She is our oldest daughter and is now SIX years old. I don't know what happened to the past five and a half years but, none the less, she is six! Anna Brooke had such a good day. She woke up smiling, ready to get dressed for Kindergarten. She has always loved girly-girl things. She has wanted to be a cheerleader since she could say it and recognize a cheerleader when she saw one. She has also wanted to learn to play the piano. She has been taking lessons for about a month now. She is learning to play Away in a Manger , which is probably one of her favorite Christmas Songs. Anna Brooke loves to have her hair braided. She wears her hair with two braids and bows on the bottom most days. Anna Brooke, you changed my life in a way I cannot even describe. You continue to rock my world every day. You have made me be a much better Mommy than I ever would have been without you in my life. I now take the time to appreciate the little things

Upward Football

Image
Luke is playing Upward football again this year. He is playing quarterback a little bit this year. He really likes playing football. He is getting the hang of the game this year. He understands the different plays and where he is supposed to run. Then, after the game is is star and snack time. The players and coaches huddle together and share a snack. And each player gets a star. Each colored star represents a different attribute from the game like leadership, defense, offence, etc. We are grateful for this opportunity for Luke to play football and learn the fundamentals of the game he loves.

Fire Safety Day

Image
A couple weeks ago, we had Fire Sagety Day at Preschool. The firetruck came and the children were able to "tour" the firetruck. The firemen showed us all of their tools and knobs and valves on the firetruck. They even let the children climb up inside the firetruck. It was quite roomy in there. Fire Safety Day was quite fun for everyone!

Paul...

Image
Today, Paul kissed my WHOLE ENTIRE FACE. With his wet lips. I don't think I've ever been happier in my WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE. (I like kisses of any kind.) I thought I should share some things about him today. He is very detail-oriented. He gets this trait from his Daddy. He does not leave anything undone. When he is opening a gift. He tears off a piece of paper, then runs to the garbage can to throw it away. His birthday is always fun. And long. He is the cutest thing when he does this. He rode on his Daddy shoulders the second full year of his life. It was where he was the most comfortable. And the happiest. And Daddy let him ride there anytime he wanted to. Because he is a good Daddy. Paul is a good student. He is the youngest in his Preschool class. When his teachers have something new planned, they ask Paul to do it first. He is always willing. Then, the others see how much fun he is having, so they join in. It works like a charm every time. Paul loves to play o

Cool Stuff

This is a post all about Luke. He chose the title and photos that will be shared here today! This is Luke at Town & Country Pool in Louisburg on Labor Day. He rocks the slide and diving board there. Luke snuggled between his brother and cousin the night of Paul's birthday party. This was so very cute. It was Luke's idea to have the FullerTown Rock Band a few weeks ago. He used the laundry sorter, his pillow sham, his stuffed dalmation, "Duke," a storage container, his firetruck pillow and Sports Illustrated Duke magazine to create his stage area. His guitar is a shoestring tied to both ends of a croquet club. He is very resourceful. We were at church a few weeks ago feeding the football team. The little Fullers were keeping themselves entertained on the playground and in the Pre-K classroom. Luke began to build with the blocks. And build. And build. He says this is Fort Caswell. He built the barracks, the pool, Hatch, forts and everything. I love thi

Give Me a G!

Our girls have wanted to go to a tumbling/gymnastics/dance type class ever since they were big enough to ask about it. We are excited that they are old enough to participate now. And, the gym is not far at all from our house. Sarah Belle is so excited to be a cheerleader. She has learned to do a cartwheel and front roll so far. She is so cute in her uniform. Anna Brooke is very happy when we go to the gym once a week. She has learned to do a cartwheel, front roll, and a round off so far. She is making lots of progress on her handstand and backbend walkover. She has a gorgeous backbend thanks to her long and lean figure. We are getting excited about our first competition in a bout 6 weeks. The girls are doing well at learning their routine with their new friends. There will be more news from FullerTown about this as the year progresses.

Tooth Fairy, Come by Here

Image
Luke has been worried about loosing his first tooth ever since Kindergarten. I remember when the first of his classmates lost a tooth. He has been wiggling his teeth ever since. He even had our dentist double check the status of his teeth. I have been wondering when the day would come myself. Finally, several weeks ago, his tooth was loose!! He has been so busy wiggling his tooth, he can hardly do anything else. Finally, one night after everyone was in bed, I wiggled his tooth. (Because I have a wonderful concept of time and the need for the little Fullers to be asleep by a decent hour.) I felt it give a little. It then came out a few minutes later with the help of a wet bathcloth. There has never been a happier boy here in FullerTown!

FullerTown Rock Band

Image
Tonight, the little Fullers formed a rock band. Their debut song is Big House by Audio Adrenaline. You can listen to it here . They each created these little stage areas. In our bedroom. Here is Sarah Belle's stage. A 13 year old laundry basket. And her guitar is a butterfly net. Anna Brooke's stage is her storage cube turned upside down with a pillow sham on top. Her guitar is a stick out of the woods with some kind of strap attached. Notice the fan behind her? Luke set it up so it would blow their hair! Paul got the bathroom stool and a pillow to make his stage. He is playing a percussion instrument of some kind. Luke is standing on top of a storage bin and his dog must also like rock music!! He made a guitar out of a croquet club. To say that he loved every minute of this would be an understatement. You must notice their music books in front of them. And, some of them made pedals to stomp on also. This was so very funny. Another Friday night in FullerTown!!

Happy Birthday, Paul

Image
Paul turned 3 on Sunday. His party was Saturday at one of his favorite places here in Greensboro. He liked pretending he was a fireman. Then, he shared cake and pizza with his friends. At home on Sunday, he opened his gifts from Daddy & Mommy. He liked his train set. Everyone helped him play with it and discover new things about all his new toys. Then, we gave him a big boy bike. He was so excited. I am sure there will be many trips around the neighborhood walking trail this Fall. Happy Birthday, Paul!!!
