Fireproof

This evening we(Patrick, Luke & myself) went to see the awesome, new movie, Fireproof . This movie is from the makers of the movie, Facing the Giants . The main character, Caleb Holt is played by Kirk Cameron . This movie deals with so many things, marriage being the strongest issue. There is so much to say but I do not want to give away any story line so you will have to GO SEE THE MOVIE!! It is important for you to go see it instead of waiting for the DVD. This way the movie producers and executives of all those important companies will allow more movies like this one to be in theaters. Today has been a sweet day. A wonderful day at church with friends visiting and then to our home for lunch compliments of Olive Garden . Then a sweet time of fellowship and off to the movie. How has your day been?

Anna Brooke cut ...

her baby doll's hair! It is not so noticeable, but she apparently has a need to feel scissors in her hand....

Kitchen Kapers

So, I have never claimed to be a whiz in the kitchen, I am definitely slow. After 8 years of cooking for my family I have definitely had my really good moments. And some not-so-good moments. Two of the latter came this past week. 1. Thursday night I completely ruined my best egg pan because I always keep the heat too high. I was attempting to saute turkey steaks because we are eating healthier and my husband loves hamburger steaks! 2. Sunday afternoon I was making brownies for Luke's lunchbox. I know this totally contradicts #1, but you must know Luke to understand. Anyway, the brownies were not quite done when we had to leave at 4:20 p.m. so I thought I will just turn the oven off and the brownies will finish baking while the oven cools down and that way the oven will be OFF . Sounds like a great idea! Halfway through the worship service I thought again I wonder if I turned the oven off? Uh-oh. I'm not so sure. The children were upset that they could not go get a

We Have a Problem

Image
This just in from FullerTown!!! Mommy was in the Laundry Room where she spends most of Monday and Wednesday. Anna Brooke came running and said, "Mommy, come here .... we have a problem." Mommy quickly turned toward her and said, "What is it?" She said again, "We have a problem." So, Mommy followed. Anna Brooke led the Town Manager into the Living Room [which is an 'off-limits' room for playing]. Then the town manager spots 'the problem.' The column made of plaster has fallen and broken onto the freshly vacuumed carpet. "It just did" is how it happened.

Church Membership?

I had a moment this week when my heart swelled. I received the monthly newsletter from Brush Creek Baptist Church in Siler City, NC. There was an insert with pictures of the newest members pictures'. I was so proud. While serving st Brush Creek I had the privilege of teaching the 4 & 5-year old Sunday School class. For several years, there was 8-12 students in the class. I received the biggest blessings on a weekly basis from these youngsters-turned-second-graders. Three of my former students have surrendered their lives to Jesus and added their names to the church membership rolls!! I am so excited about this. There are a few more who have not made this step yet, so keep praying for them with me. What a huge blessing to receive confirmation that somewhere along the way, I had a small part in such a huge calling on these young, precious lives.

Our Baby's First Birthday!!

Image
Friday was Paul's first birthday! He woke up to singing and Luke wanted him to open a present before going to Kindergarten. So, Paul attempted to open the first gift. He had a very good day and enjoyed all of the extra attention. Then his party carried on despite the threat of Tropical Storm Hanna. Daddy spoke so sweet about the blessing Paul has been to our family this past year. Then we had dinner and Paul blew out the candle on his cake! Guess who really blew out the candle! Paul stuck his fingers into the icing, but did not care for the taste of it. Then, Paul opened his gifts. He had a wonderful first birthday!!

First Day of Preschool

Image
Good Morning everyone! The first day of preschool last Tuesday was a huge success! Actually, the first week was a success. We are expecting a repeat this week! We had a good day learning all about ourselves and Jesus. Also, the color red and apples. On Tuesday, we went to Chapel and learned about our senses. Especially our noses. On Thursday, we had our first Kindermusik lesson. This month, the unit is "Carnival of Music." We are pretending we are attending a Carnival and listening to Carnival sounds. The children loved it! Here are pictures of the children on the first day: Anna Brooke posed for her picture: Sarah Belle (we don't know how she got a boo-boo on her chin): Paul was asleep during picture time: Yes, it was a very good first day.

More to Come!

Hello everyone! I am so sorry I haven't written in a while. My new computer crashed on Tuesday night! Anyway, I am back in business. But please, for my sake, next time you purchase a computer, you need to purchase the extended warranty. Extended as in a better warranty. Not extended as in 'lasting longer than 12 months'. Anyway, I have much to post about, but not tinoght. It is 12:27 Sunday morning . The Fullers must be at church at 8:30 later this morning for the church breakfast. I was telling Anna Brooke as I tucked her in that we were going to have eggs and biscuits at church instead of doughnut holes. She politely reminded that she 'doesn't care for any grits.' I know I am raising her to be a Southern belle but she will not eat her grits!! Come back to hear about and see pictures of the first day of WEE Love Academy and Paul's 1st birthday! Good night.

Labor Day Happenings

Image
This is our Labor Day so far: Daddy came in late last night from church. He has had a very busy weekend. So, this morning, the children are wishing Daddy had more energy. They are fussing over something I can't figure out. They are pretending that Paul is a toy. He likes being held upside down. The girls are fighting over a change purse that has 37 cents in it. There will be more later. The older three are on the patio while Paul pretends Daddy is a jungle gym. 4:00 p.m. We promised the children that if they would be good while we take them to Triad Park we would have ice cream for dinner. This is something we do once a summer. They were thrilled. They love going to Triad Park. Here are pictures of all of them taking their turn on the swings. And one more of the foursome on the bottom of the slide:
