Bouncin'

Image
Last night, we were invited to attend a birthday party at BounceU. It was a whole lot of fun. Even for the parents! "We're waiting patiently for the birthday girls to arrive so we can go bounce!!" Anna Brooke was surprisingly the first one down 'the big slide' with Mrs. J. Then Sarah Belle wanted to go: She and Paul were fearless!! There were lots of fun times enjoyed by everyone!! And, the best part was: CAKE!!

A Day in the Lives

Image
This past week has offered some very fine photo opportunities. I have not been quick-on-the-draw with the camera. But, I have been able to capture some sweet shots of the children. Sarah Belle & Paul wanted to go somewhere. Paul didn't mind riding in a purple car with princesses on the hood. You should also know that he can get in this car all by himself. He just can't get out. This is Luke writing his high frequency words. He likes to sit down and write his words every day. He also practices what sentences he will write in his journal the next day at school. I was especially proud of this photo because I caught the notecard in motion! I think this little Fuller is so beautiful! I'm not sure what she was thinking at the moment this photo was taken. She can make some funny faces; this is not the usual look on her face. All that being said, this particular photo shows her true beauty!! Happy Friday tomorrow!

Rookie Photographer

Last night we invited sweet friends over for dinner. We had a very fun time. I think it was the first time in a long time that I have had everything ready at the same time!! And I realized my need for a double oven!! After dinner, we enjoyed the best chocolate cake ever!! And, as usual, Sarah Belle was the only little Fuller still awake. Everyone else had been tucked snugly into their beds. Both Greg and Brad noticed how she became a different child once she realized she was the only one still awake. I took a picture of her playing with Greg. Notice her necklace around his neck! Then she wanted to have her picture made with Brad. He also had to wear the purple necklace! Then, as they were about to leave, she wanted to take some pictures herself: She was standing the right place but had the wrong angle to get the picture she wanted. So, I helped her. Brad already had his coat on but she insisted on a picture of him too. She waved good-bye to her new friends, crawled up in Mommy

The Little Engine that Could

A few weeks before Christmas I was at Preschool hosting our Christmas Party. A man, J, came into our party and asked for my truck keys. I told him where he could find them and sent him on his way. Later, I learned that my new-to-me truck was being used for the most audacious of tasks. Apparently, the light bulbs in the steeple needed to be changed. I went to investigate this situation. What I found was appalling! My Suburban was being used to hold the steeple onto the church!! Or, keep it from falling, I'm not sure which! I just had to take a picture. You can't see in the photo below but there is a rope tied from the back of my Suburban up to the steeple. J's truck was on the other side of the church with a rope tied to it as well. Yes, there is a man up there waving at me. He think's he's famous now! For some reason, I was very proud!!

Snow Day

Image
On Tuesday morning we had a little snow on the ground! Not really enough to play in it, but Luke was glad to be home from school. The children were excited while looking out the upstairs window at the snow! Later, the girls helped Mommy make supper! On Tuesday, I did something that I have not done in a long time...I cooked three meals!!

A Very Happy Weekend

Wow! I don't know where to begin. Early Friday morning my best friend from my college days arrived. After a few hours of sleep for her, and a big breakfast, our fun began. We took the girls on a mini shopping trip. This was the kind of shopping when nothing was purchased. There was much salivating over a particular item at a new store close by. Oh, and I want this accessory. Valentine's Day, come quickly!!! On Friday evening, we ate out at the little Fuller's most favorite place. Saturday, we went to my most favorite area and had SO MUCH FUN TOGETHER. We even bought the same sweater!! How cute!

Where Does Your Mommy Work?

Luke came home from school today telling me all about where his friends' mommies work. [Before reading further, you must know that Luke sometimes leaves letters out of words.] He told his friends that his Mommy worked 'at church at the Pee-school' C's mommy works at 'the booby shop.' Enough said.

Pure Sweetness

We have a rule at our house that some little Fuller's do not like to obey. The Living Room, Foyer & Dining Room are off limits. This simple rule makes these 3 rooms more appealing. The little Fuller's are also learning to be tale bearers. Tonight, Sarah Belle came running into the Family Room proclaiming, "Paul is in the Diamond Room!" Anna Brooke suffered a slight calamity this evening. She crawled up in Daddy's lap and asked, "Will you say a prayer for me?" Yes, darling, I will. Luke had the privilege of carrying the Bible Sunday night during the AWANA Closing Ceremony. Sarah Belle painted her fingernails herself. Excuse me, I'm going to search for the diamonds now.

Blogging 101

Many of you have emailed me and asked questions about this blog over the past several months. So, I am going to "borrow" this information from one of my bloggy friends, AJ . (No, I don't know her, but I read her blog daily. 1) How do I join the blog? There is no way to officially "join" the blog. If you're a reader, you are a part! If you'd like to join in on the conversation by commenting, see the next question. 2) How do I leave a comment? Step 1) Look at the bottom of whatever post you'd like to comment on. It will say: Posted by Laura at 8:30 p.m. 0 comments Sometimes it will not say that. In that case, you'll see all the comments from that one post listed beneath it. Scroll to the bottom and look for it to say this: Post a comment Step 2) Now click on the word "comment(s)" and it will take you to the comments page. Step 3) Look for the text box on the right side of the page under the words "Leave your comment." Type ou

What's In That Purse?

Image
I was going to change my purse today. I was going to switch to one that doesn't look like a five-gallon bucket with straps attached. So, I dumped out the contents of my purse onto the table and could hardly believe my eyes. There was bathtub fizzy ball thing, a princess hair brush, lots of gum wrappers, an empty wallet, a songbook, a clothing tag, a vacuum belt , a ball, a USB drive attached to a Mickey Mouse keychain, 27 cents that looks like it survived The War, a Strawberry Shortcake magnet, lamp parts , a hairbow, camera, 2 birthday party invitations, a half-used Z-Pak, one ink pen, and many receipts and check-out coupons. All this in addition to a cosmetic bag filled with various shades of berry and pink lipgloss and lipsticks and a wallet with the typical things inside. So, I just have one question: What's in your purse?

Good Morning

This morning the little Fullers are a little ... grouchy. Anna Brooke is lying on the couch all covered up in 'The Favorite Cover.' The big, soft comforter off of my bed when I was a teenager!! The children have discovered it's comfort level and often fuss over it! Anyway, she is lying there literally wrapped up in The Cover. She looks like a burrito. The other two little Fuller's are fussing over lap space. My lap space. This usually happens between these two. They are pushing each other off of my lap. This is the norm when they wake up too early; especially when it is the result of someone else's early morning crying. They will stay in my lap until they wake up enough. Then they will get down and play as normal. Paul even tickled Sarah Belle until she got down!! He's so sneaky!!

Two Good Days

On Sunday evening, Duke was playing basketball. On Monday morning, Luke had to go back to school after a two week break. Luke wanted to stay up and watch the game. I thought that if he stayed up to watch the game he would not be rested enough to be happy on Monday morning. Daddy allowed him to stay up. He laid beside of Daddy on the sofa and watched the game in its entirety. He cheered when Daddy cheered. He said, "Come on, guys!" when Daddy said, "Come on, guys!" He cheered especially big at the end of the game when Duke won. It was very cute to watch them. He went to straight to bed when the game was over. Very good, Luke. Monday morning came sooner than we hoped. When it was time to awaken Luke, I was a little nervous to say the least. Daddy gently woke and dressed him. They had their usual morning together time and then came to the breakfast table. He was excited to go to school . GLORY TO GOD!!! When we picked him up from school he was filled up with many stori

Friday Fun

Image
We have had a fun time this week being together. The little Fullers have enjoyed Daddy being home more than usual. They have especially had fun riding their bikes and scooters around the neighborhood. Their Daddy is awesome to take them. He walks beside them and helps them as they are still learning. Luke, however, is already a pro at both the bike and scooter. So, today we decided to get out of the house for a little change of scenery. We went to their favorite place for lunch. Then we headed south to a unique destination we have wanted to visit for about … oh … 7 years. We have driven right past it for the past 2 years on our way to Florida. Which would only be about 4 times. I think. The babies wanted to ride the carousel and we did too! It was a lot of fun but did not last long enough! While we were leaving, I spotted a certain store that I have wanted to visit for awhile. I have simply never had the opportunity. I hurried in alone, knowing that my sweet husband did not want to vis
