What's In That Purse?

I was going to change my purse today. I was going to switch to one that doesn't look like a five-gallon bucket with straps attached.

So, I dumped out the contents of my purse onto the table and could hardly believe my eyes.

There was bathtub fizzy ball thing, a princess hair brush, lots of gum wrappers, an empty wallet, a songbook, a clothing tag, a vacuum belt, a ball, a USB drive attached to a Mickey Mouse keychain, 27 cents that looks like it survived The War, a Strawberry Shortcake magnet, lamp parts, a hairbow, camera, 2 birthday party invitations, a half-used Z-Pak, one ink pen, and many receipts and check-out coupons. All this in addition to a cosmetic bag filled with various shades of berry and pink lipgloss and lipsticks and a wallet with the typical things inside.

So, I just have one question:

What's in your purse?

you have some very interesting things in there!
I believe I have a wallet, lip gloss,lip stick, mascara, hand sanitizer, picture book of latest family pictures, camera, video camera, sippy cup from several days ago(ewww), diapers, wipes, some change, hair ties, Goldfish, earrings, baby sized socks, several pacifiers, maybe some more stuff!
it doubles as a diaper bag!! I SO need to clean it out!

Well, In my purse yesterday, I found an apple, broken headband, various receipts, and lots of gum wrappers as well. Not as interesting as yours though! Hope all is well with you guys!

Wallet, notebook, gum wrappers, old receipts, brush, lip gloss, lipstick, lip liner, earrings, eyeglass case, and pens...and loose change of course!

Ok, I had to laugh. Most of it I get, but a vacuum cleaner hose?

And yes, it has been cold. It was 20 degrees below zero for more than a week.

Happy Birthday Paul!!

On Valentine's Day 2007 Patrick and I decided that we would not get each other a gift. This was the first time we had made such a deal. I did pick up a card for him and filled it out. Valentine's Day was on a Wednesday and we really didn't see each other much until after church that night. He came home exhausted. We had our little family of five all together in the Family Room and I handed him his card. I had signed it the way I usually do with an extra note on the very bottom: P. S. Hello There! There is something that has bothered me for years. I have begun to do better, and encouraged others to change their ways. This is it... Why do people almost always compliment little girls on their appearance first? Little girls are held to a higher standard in regard to their appearance and little boys are held to a very low standard regarding their behavior. This baffles me. I know you've heard it, probably even done it.  What's the first thing most people say to a little girl? "You're so pretty!" "Your dress is so pretty!" Why not compliment how compassionate & respectful she is because you just witnessed her let an older person get on the elevator first? Brave because you see the band-aid on her arm from a doctor visit? Smart...maybe she has a book in her hand! Funny...did she just tell the best joke you've heard all week? Creative...does she have an ornate hairstyle?  Or an outfit you would have never ...
