Upward Football

Image
Luke is playing Upward football again this year. He is playing quarterback a little bit this year. He really likes playing football. He is getting the hang of the game this year. He understands the different plays and where he is supposed to run. Then, after the game is is star and snack time. The players and coaches huddle together and share a snack. And each player gets a star. Each colored star represents a different attribute from the game like leadership, defense, offence, etc. We are grateful for this opportunity for Luke to play football and learn the fundamentals of the game he loves.

Fire Safety Day

Image
A couple weeks ago, we had Fire Sagety Day at Preschool. The firetruck came and the children were able to "tour" the firetruck. The firemen showed us all of their tools and knobs and valves on the firetruck. They even let the children climb up inside the firetruck. It was quite roomy in there. Fire Safety Day was quite fun for everyone!

Paul...

Today, Paul kissed my WHOLE ENTIRE FACE. With his wet lips. I don't think I've ever been happier in my WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE. (I like kisses of any kind.) I thought I should share some things about him today. He is very detail-oriented. He gets this trait from his Daddy. He does not leave anything undone. When he is opening a gift. He tears off a piece of paper, then runs to the garbage can to throw it away. His birthday is always fun. And long. He is the cutest thing when he does this. He rode on his Daddy shoulders the second full year of his life. It was where he was the most comfortable. And the happiest. And Daddy let him ride there anytime he wanted to. Because he is a good Daddy. Paul is a good student. He is the youngest in his Preschool class. When his teachers have something new planned, they ask Paul to do it first. He is always willing. Then, the others see how much fun he is having, so they join in. It works like a charm every time. Paul loves to play o...

Cool Stuff

This is a post all about Luke. He chose the title and photos that will be shared here today! This is Luke at Town & Country Pool in Louisburg on Labor Day. He rocks the slide and diving board there. Luke snuggled between his brother and cousin the night of Paul's birthday party. This was so very cute. It was Luke's idea to have the FullerTown Rock Band a few weeks ago. He used the laundry sorter, his pillow sham, his stuffed dalmation, "Duke," a storage container, his firetruck pillow and Sports Illustrated Duke magazine to create his stage area. His guitar is a shoestring tied to both ends of a croquet club. He is very resourceful. We were at church a few weeks ago feeding the football team. The little Fullers were keeping themselves entertained on the playground and in the Pre-K classroom. Luke began to build with the blocks. And build. And build. He says this is Fort Caswell. He built the barracks, the pool, Hatch, forts and everything. I love thi...

Give Me a G!

Image
Our girls have wanted to go to a tumbling/gymnastics/dance type class ever since they were big enough to ask about it. We are excited that they are old enough to participate now. And, the gym is not far at all from our house. Sarah Belle is so excited to be a cheerleader. She has learned to do a cartwheel and front roll so far. She is so cute in her uniform. Anna Brooke is very happy when we go to the gym once a week. She has learned to do a cartwheel, front roll, and a round off so far. She is making lots of progress on her handstand and backbend walkover. She has a gorgeous backbend thanks to her long and lean figure. We are getting excited about our first competition in a bout 6 weeks. The girls are doing well at learning their routine with their new friends. There will be more news from FullerTown about this as the year progresses.

Tooth Fairy, Come by Here

Image
Luke has been worried about loosing his first tooth ever since Kindergarten. I remember when the first of his classmates lost a tooth. He has been wiggling his teeth ever since. He even had our dentist double check the status of his teeth. I have been wondering when the day would come myself. Finally, several weeks ago, his tooth was loose!! He has been so busy wiggling his tooth, he can hardly do anything else. Finally, one night after everyone was in bed, I wiggled his tooth. (Because I have a wonderful concept of time and the need for the little Fullers to be asleep by a decent hour.) I felt it give a little. It then came out a few minutes later with the help of a wet bathcloth. There has never been a happier boy here in FullerTown!
