Snow Photos

Image
It snowed in FullerTown!! The snow began falling about 5:30 Friday evening and began accumulating after just a few minutes. It was still snowing when we all turned in for the night. I was awakened Saturday by the sound of sleet hitting the bedroom window about 6:00 am. After several hours we finally went outside about noon. The official measurement in FullerTown is just shy of seven inches. Anna Brooke was so excited to have on all her Winter gear. She is so cute with everything matching. Luke was excited to finally be outside. He had been dressed like this for five hours waiting to go outside. Paul wasn't so fond of the cold. He was ready to go inside after just a few minutes. Sarah Belle couldn't wait to build a snowman. Apparently, powdery snow doesn't make a good snowman. Time for a group picture. I wanted to make a snow angel. Of all the times I've experienced snow, I have never made a snow angel. I was determined I would do it this time. The snow was too...

The View

I was awakened this morning by the sound of sleet hitting my bedroom window. So I got up to look out. The weatherman said that the heaviest snow would fall between 7am and noon today. I can see lots of fun and hot chocolate in our day!

Socks!

Image
Today was sock day in FullerTown. I didn't take a picture of what we started with because I didn't realize that the camera wanted to work today until one of the little Fullers began taking pictures of my pajama-clad self. This is the finished product. 131 pair of socks, perfectly matched. And this is the 118 socks with no match. And just as sure as I throw them away, the match will re-appear!! The socks always wear me out!! I sort them into three piles: adult, little boys and little girls. Then sort each pile by color which is easy: white, dark, pink (girls only), blue. Then I sort them into two piles, matching as I go. This makes the job much easier. There are always some socks that baffle me. I have no clue where these came from. I do not recall purchasing them or anyone receiving them as a gift. These were just purchased in October. These matched the boys' Christmas picture outfits. Paul has managed to lose one of each of his. I am very sad because I love these socks! Th...

Checking In.

We have settled in to 2010 quite nicely here in FullerTown. The Mayor and Town Manager have cast a vision that would make any Town Council proud. (Don't you just love how I speak of our household as if it were a real place on the map?) Good. We are currently without a working camera here in FullerTown. We do have one that works intermittently and right now it is on the blink. I am so sorry there will be no pictures coming from FullerTown in the near future because there is some major cuteness going on around here. We are in the midst of Upward basketball and cheerleading. If you would like to see this action you will need to contact the Town Manager for a schedule. All I can say is that our short-legged Luke has made us proud. And, our Anna Brooke is cracking the shell of shyness. Sarah Belle cannot wait until the Fall when it will be her turn to get in on the action!! Paul is still content sitting on Daddy's shoulders. He has the best view of anybody.

While we were there...

While we were visiting with our family at Hideaway Farms, we: cuddled with cute babies (this is my youngest cousin's baby) So adorably cute. Rode the four-wheeler everywhere. This is the everyone's favorite thing to do, even the big boy! We went visiting at our cousins' house just up the driveway. We hosted tea parties with each other as a guest. And invited baby dolls. Please notice Sarah Belle's strapless dress and Paul's gentleman ways letting her be seated first before he takes his seat. And, we witnessed the hatching of 11 new baby chicks. Very cool.

Christmas Part 4: Hideaway Farms

Several months ago, actually in June, we discovered that this year's theme for Vacation Bible School is Saddle Ridge Ranch . The little Fullers got so excited they asked Granny and Granddaddy for boots and hats for Christmas. The first day we were there, we made a trip to Western World to look at the boots. Granddaddy and Granny gave us a talk about how we were going to look at the boots and let Santa come and pick them up. WE ARE NOT BUYING THE BOOTS TODAY. I was thinking to myself that we had six children here looking at boots, this could go either way. They may understand and be little angels or there could be lots of crying and emotional meltdowns. It was as if they knew that was a big hoax because everybody was perfect. When Sarah Belle chose hers, she took them off and walked them to the register and put them up on the counter. There was a very nice lady who helped us all make sure that we were getting the right fit. We let each little Fuller choose the ones they wanted. A...

Christmas Part 3: Papa & Nana's house

Image
On Christmas Afternoon, we travel to Louisburg to celebrate Christmas with Papa & Nana, Unc D, Aunt Kendall, Lilly & Jacob. We had a good time as usual. Anna Brooke always enjoys herself when she is around other girls she doesn't get to see that often. Especially if she is receiving a gift. Paul had a good time too. He likes his new hat. Luke sat on the couch to open his gifts. He had them all organized neatly in a large gift bag. He knew exactly what he received and who gave it to him. Sarah Belle sat on Aunt Kendall's lap the entire time. She loves her aunts. The next day we met Uncle Garry, Aunt Mickie, Aunt Teri and Sandi at Red Robin in Durham on the way home. Jacob and Paul were too busy to sit still and have their picture made.

Christmas Part 2: Christmas Morning

Image
This was the scene at FullerTown Christmas morning. The little Fullers come down the front stairs and see what Santa brought. I love how Sarah Belle is running in this picture. And Luke's smile is priceless. Luke loved his desk. He sat there to open every gift. And neatly organized everything into his desk. Anna Brooke loved everything she received. She especially loved the novelization of Barbie as the Island Princess. We read it on the way to Florida. She loved every word. And, Sarah Belle adored her dollhouse. She was so excited to get what she asked for. Paul has been enjoying his rocking horse and train set every day since Christmas. He loves the sounds and movements of his rocking horse. It was such a fun morning. We are so glad the little Fullers are at such a fun age right now. We had a mighty fine Christmas morning here.

Christmas Part 1

We put our tree in a different place this year and I LOVED IT THERE!! And the view from the kitchen. And we left cookies out for Santa, as usual. And we ate Happy Birthday Jesus cake for dinner on Christmas Eve. It was so good and the little Fullers loved it.
