Preschool Graduation

Last night was our WEE Love Academy Graduation. Our three littlest Fullers graduated from their classes and on to the next! Our big girl, Anna Brooke, will be starting Kindergarten next Fall. I cannot believe it.

Before the program started, the girls were so, so excited. They liked their outfits very much. They thought they were so pretty. And they were.
We all went in and lined up. Ready to go!
Paul was a little excited. He looks so cute with his hair freshly trimmed.


The children sang several songs. We have been practicing for several months.
Afterwards, pictures are so hard to capture. They are so excited!!

Paul was being a true Daddy's boy. He only wanted Daddy to hold him. Which was fine.

It was a good night. And, we've had a good year at WEE Love Academy.

Happy Birthday Paul!!

On Valentine's Day 2007 Patrick and I decided that we would not get each other a gift. This was the first time we had made such a deal. I did pick up a card for him and filled it out. Valentine's Day was on a Wednesday and we really didn't see each other much until after church that night. He came home exhausted. We had our little family of five all together in the Family Room and I handed him his card. I had signed it the way I usually do with an extra note on the very bottom: P. S. Baby Boy due to arrive in September. (Now, I didn't know for sure he was a boy, but I had a feeling) Patrick FELL INTO THE FLOOR!! Fast forward 7 months. Hello There! There is something that has bothered me for years. I have begun to do better, and encouraged others to change their ways. This is it... Why do people almost always compliment little girls on their appearance first? Little girls are held to a higher standard in regard to their appearance and little boys are held to a very low standard regarding their behavior. This baffles me. I know you've heard it, probably even done it.  What's the first thing most people say to a little girl? "You're so pretty!" "Your dress is so pretty!" Why not compliment how compassionate & respectful she is because you just witnessed her let an older person get on the elevator first? Brave because you see the band-aid on her arm from a doctor visit? Smart...maybe she has a book in her hand! Funny...did she just tell the best joke you've heard all week? Creative...does she have an ornate hairstyle?  Or an outfit you would have never ...
