First Day of Preschool

Good Morning everyone! The first day of preschool last Tuesday was a huge success! Actually, the first week was a success. We are expecting a repeat this week! We had a good day learning all about ourselves and Jesus. Also, the color red and apples. On Tuesday, we went to Chapel and learned about our senses. Especially our noses. On Thursday, we had our first Kindermusik lesson. This month, the unit is "Carnival of Music." We are pretending we are attending a Carnival and listening to Carnival sounds. The children loved it! Here are pictures of the children on the first day:

Wee Love Academy is so-o-o-o awesome! Mommy, you are very special and talented. I am so-o-o proud of you fro making Wee LOve Academy a reality now beginning it's 2nd year. CONGRATULATIONS and now adding Kindermusic-sp? Your degrees and cretifications are so important here but being my daughter in love is even more special.I am glad it went well. I am proud of you and your staff for making this possible.

Happy Birthday Paul!!

On Valentine's Day 2007 Patrick and I decided that we would not get each other a gift. This was the first time we had made such a deal. I did pick up a card for him and filled it out. Valentine's Day was on a Wednesday and we really didn't see each other much until after church that night. He came home exhausted. We had our little family of five all together in the Family Room and I handed him his card. I had signed it the way I usually do with an extra note on the very bottom: P. S. Baby Boy due to arrive in September. (Now, I didn't know for sure he was a boy, but I had a feeling) Patrick FELL INTO THE FLOOR!! Fast forward 7 months. Hello There! There is something that has bothered me for years. I have begun to do better, and encouraged others to change their ways. This is it... Why do people almost always compliment little girls on their appearance first? Little girls are held to a higher standard in regard to their appearance and little boys are held to a very low standard regarding their behavior. This baffles me. I know you've heard it, probably even done it.  What's the first thing most people say to a little girl? "You're so pretty!" "Your dress is so pretty!" Why not compliment how compassionate & respectful she is because you just witnessed her let an older person get on the elevator first? Brave because you see the band-aid on her arm from a doctor visit? Smart...maybe she has a book in her hand! Funny...did she just tell the best joke you've heard all week? Creative...does she have an ornate hairstyle?  Or an outfit you would have never ...
