Christmas Celebration in Florida -- Day 2

Day 2 in Florida was great! We attended worship with my parents and sisters. They all attend the First Baptist Church of Glen St. Mary, FL. They have a wonderful Pastor who preached the Word. I always like that. And, this awesome worship leader named Brian. He and his wife are dear friends from our seminary days.

We had lunch at home. With many friends from days gone by. And lots of family too. It was very good to see many faces that we had not seen in a long time. Sweet, sweet people that we love so much. And they love us too.

The Christmas Musical Programs were last night. First, Caleb and his Cubbie friends sang Silent Night dressed as the Nativity scene. Caleb was a shepherd, with a beard. (Green shepherd outfit looking straight at the camera.)

Then, the older children sang several really cute songs, complete with hand motions. Conner stood front & center and did very well. (He's wearing the red sweater vest).

Then was the choir musical. They all sang beautifully. Marie sang a solo. I was very proud. I almost cried, but contained myself. After the program we went to a friend's home for a little while. The M family and my parents have been friends for many years. They have children our age so it was really good to see them and visit for a few minutes. They showed us pictures of their children and grandchildren. All were very sweet. Their daughters look exactly like they did when we were 12 years old.

Amazing.

Also, the H family attended. They live around the corner from my parents. Their 3 boys were a little older than us, but we rode the school bus together. They were the first stop and we were second. Updates on their children were also nice to hear.

I will be able to post pictures from this trip after we return home. So, on Tuesday evening come back to FullerTown and look for the pictures.
