He Said, She Said

We have been talking a lot lately about Anna Brooke's husband. Now don't get worried. She doesn't have one picked out yet!

But, we pray regularly for our children's spouses and their familes.

As well as their friends and their families.

As well as anybody they seem to look up to.

So, there's been much dialogue around here about poor Anna Brooke's husband. Right now, he's proud that he hit a homerun in the game of backyard baseball.

And so unsuspecting of what lies ahead for him.

I am praying he will be the most patient thing that has every come up against her. I know that this means the little guy will have endured a lot of trial before he ever meets her. But, trust me, he will need all the patience he can get a hold of. And then some more.

Anyway, over the weekend I heard this conversation:

Daddy: Luke, are you going to help Anna Brooke find a husband one day?

Luke: Oh, yes, Daddy, he's going to be my best friend.

Daddy: Are you going to tell him about these times when y'all were little and all the things she used to do to you?

Luke: YES, DADDY, I'M GONNA TELL 'IM ALL ABOUT HOW SHE USED TO MOVE MY STUFF IN MY ROOM AND ABOUT THE TIMES SHE KILLED MY FISH. SHE DUMPED ALL THE FOOD INTO THE TANK AND HE DIED. (holding up two fingers) TWO TIMES!!!!!!!

Daddy: Well, Luke are you going to help him know how to be a good husband for Anna Brooke?

Luke: Yes, Daddy, HE'S GONNA NEED SOME HELP!

I am going to say in Anna Brooke's defense that she will make a fine wife and Mommy one day. But her husband is going to need to be patient. And I am thankful that the LORD knows already. I can't wait to meet him.

what a priceless conversation! so glad you get to record it here to remember.
it is amazing how we can already see the little personalities the Lord has given them so we better know how to pray for their future!
