A Farmer's Life

On Monday night, Luke had his first school music program. It was called, A Farmer's Life. We began getting ready 2 hours before we had to leave. Excitement hovered over FullerTown!!

Nana & Papa drove from Raleigh after working all day. They did not want to miss it.

Paul kept trying to run up the aisle to the front!

Here is Luke's class up front singing "Oats, Peas, Beans and Barley Grow." On the left is T, Luke's friend.

After the program, we took a photo of Luke with his teachers. Mrs. H is on the left and Ms. C is on the right. They are wonderful teachers. We are very appreciative of what they have done this year for our Luke.

This is Luke and C. Luke says she is his girlfriend. Her Mom says that she doesn't talk about Luke as much as he talks about her. Not surprising. His journal is filled with sentences proclaiming his love and like for Miss C. She is very cute.

This little cutie is E. He is one of Luke's best friends at school. His Dad comes to eat lunch with him a lot on Fridays also.

After the program was over, I sat in tears. I just had this wave of emotion to realize my boy is almost finished with Kindergarten. I did not shed a tear the first day, but this just about did me in. Someone mentioned ice cream and I snapped out of it real fast!

How exciting!! Your kids are too cute. I know the "wave of emotion" you spoke about. Carter's Christmas play had me boo-hooing!! I couldn't believe that my 'little' boy was up there singing and having such a good time. Time flies, and then we sit wondering where it disappeared too!
