Last Sunday Afternoon
On Easter Sunday, we always travel to Moulton, a small community outside of Louisburg, NC to spend the afternoon with Patrick's parents. And his brother, Unc D, and Aunt K, and Lilly & Jacob! It is always a rip-roaring time with 6 children ages 5 and under!
Luke's tractor is there. He loves to ride it although he has outgrown it. He also loves to chase the girls. They are getting pretty good at getting away from him.
Lilly brought her Jeep to share with our girls.
Yes, I realize it's not safe to allow a 2-year old to ride on the side like this: unbuckled, and near an open door on a moving vehicle. But I know she's holding on tight.
Jacob brought his 4-wheeler to share with Paul.
And, he rode approximately half a mile back and forth across Papa & Nana's front yard!
The children were peeking at the men 'hiding' the Easter eggs.
Of course, the eggs were not hidden. They were all in plain view.
Anna Brooke was picky with which eggs she put in her bucket. Papa bought some new eggs this year that looked like different animals. Those were the only ones she would pick up!
Sarah Belle ws happy to find any egg, but excited to find a PURPLE one! She immediately opened each one to see what was inside.
Luke was moving too fast for me to get a clear picture of his face during all the Easter egg commotion. Here you can see how he picked up about 6 or 7 eggs at a time and then ran them to his bucket. This proved profitable for him as he filled his bucket and had to use another basket to finish finding all the eggs.
Paul did pretty good at finding eggs. This was the fourth egg hunt we had participated in. So, he knew what to do!
And, Papa's favorite picture of the day:
All the children lined up like stair steps.
Aren't they cute?
