Baby Pictures

Anytime a new baby is born there is the proverbial quesion: who does she/he look like? We all know the best way to tell who the baby looks the most like is to get out the old baby pictures. So, while at my parents' house for Christmas I retrieved my 2 favorite pictures of myself as a child. This photo was taken aound the time I was 18-24 months old. Mom may correct me. This is actually my favorite photo of myself as a little Fish. You actually can't see the best part: I was wearing hunter green corderuoy pants. I was very cute.

Here is another when I was a little older. I think I was about 4. I took ballet for one year. I remember vividly doing my little dances at the recital in the auditorium at what is now the Middle School of my hometown. I cried because I left my doll backstage. We performed 2 dances. One with the tutu worn all the way around our waists and the other with the tutu only in the back. Again, very cute.

So, which of my girls looks the most like me? (Anna Brooke on the left, Sarah Belle on the right!)

they look so similar! and both like you- but also- all the little fullers have a strong resemblance to patrick. 4 little cuties!

Happy Birthday Paul!!

On Valentine's Day 2007 Patrick and I decided that we would not get each other a gift. This was the first time we had made such a deal. I did pick up a card for him and filled it out. Valentine's Day was on a Wednesday and we really didn't see each other much until after church that night. He came home exhausted. We had our little family of five all together in the Family Room and I handed him his card. I had signed it the way I usually do with an extra note on the very bottom: P. S. Baby Boy due to arrive in September. (Now, I didn't know for sure he was a boy, but I had a feeling) Patrick FELL INTO THE FLOOR!! Fast forward 7 months. Hello There! There is something that has bothered me for years. I have begun to do better, and encouraged others to change their ways. This is it... Why do people almost always compliment little girls on their appearance first? Little girls are held to a higher standard in regard to their appearance and little boys are held to a very low standard regarding their behavior. This baffles me. I know you've heard it, probably even done it.  What's the first thing most people say to a little girl? "You're so pretty!" "Your dress is so pretty!" Why not compliment how compassionate & respectful she is because you just witnessed her let an older person get on the elevator first? Brave because you see the band-aid on her arm from a doctor visit? Smart...maybe she has a book in her hand! Funny...did she just tell the best joke you've heard all week? Creative...does she have an ornate hairstyle?  Or an outfit you would have never ...
